Position

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance assignments, installations, troubleshooting/diagnostics, repair, safety, and other duties to support the Director of Facilities. Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections of premises and equipment
  • Handle basic and extensive repairs and maintenance
  • Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and troubleshoot
  • Inspect heating and cooling systems
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
  • Perform routine maintenance on building (parking lot) interior and exterior, i.e., signage, pressure washing, painting, etc.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Install new equipment and furniture
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Contact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
  • Oversee contractors providing professional tasks
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School or GED, required.
  • Previous experience maintenance, required.
