Job Responsibilities

Performs custodial duties for SC Army National Guard Maintenance Shop. Cleans and maintains latrines, showers, locker rooms and common areas. Cleans grounds around Maintenance Shop of litter and debris. Maintenance and cleaning of shower, latrine and locker rooms to include sweeping, mopping, cleaning sinks, mirrors, toilets, urinals, floors showers, windows, walls and ceiling. Perform quality work with a minimum of supervision with proper safety procedures and equipment.

Maintain floor finishes in designated common areas. Clean hard surface floors. Vacuum carpeted areas. Sweeps and mops floors on a routine basis. Restock and replenish cleaning supplies, hand soap, paper towels and toilet tissue. Empty all trash cans in latrines, shower areas, locker rooms and common areas routinely. Clean exterior grounds of litter and debris on a routine schedule.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work that is directly related to the area of employment. High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Must able to work in confined spaces.
