Position: Maintenance Technician

As a maintenance technician you will be required to preform a variety of tasks throughout our vacation rental properties and amenities. The ability to be quick thinking, problem solving and dependable are strongly encouraged.

• Perform routine maintenance in rental guest homes and amenity properties.
• Will need to be able to operate iPad to accept, complete and fill out work orders as they are assigned. This will also require the ability to prioritize work orders.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks throughout the island.

• General understanding of tool use and building maintenance including filter and light bulb change, battery replacement, and problem solving.
• Light electrical and plumbing skills. (Preferred)
• Carpentry skills. (Preferred)
• Motivation and ability to learn new skills and see projects through to completion.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology aspects of maintenance (electronic door locks, etc.)
• Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and take action to solve problems.
• Strong teamwork and people skills; ability to communicate with guests, staff, and management while listening carefully and exercising patience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, night shifts (ending at 9pm) and holidays as needed to support the needs of the business.

This position requires the ability to operate tools, drive regularly, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, go up and down numerous steps and ladders, bend, push, and lift objects frequently.

• Prefer 1+ years of building maintenance experience.
• Must have personal cell phone. Use of personal cell phone on the job is required. Company will pay $30.00 per month cell phone allowance.
• Experience in a hospitality environment preferred, but not required.
• Must have your own personal hand tools:
  Screwdriver, crescent wrench, pliers, hammer, etc. Also should have cordless drill/impact.
• Valid driver's license required & 21 years of age or older for operating company vehicle.
• Reasonable comfort level with smart devices.
• Access to the internet and the ability to check your email daily.
• Employment is contingent upon a background check, including MVR and pre-employment drug-screening.
