Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Associate is responsible for maintenance of the facility and warehouse equipment that includes but is not limited to installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems; as well as machinery, conveyance, sortation equipment, PLC/controls and components while maintaining the campus upkeep and appearance.
Essential FunctionsExcellent working knowledge of all facility and warehouse systems and repairs required for successful campus operations.
Report to work 15 minutes prior to the start of shift for proper shift pass down.
Perform maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical, Electrical, PLC and related systems, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, Lighting and Control systems for the facility to keep these systems up to applicable standards.
Identifies issues and root cause and finds appropriate solutions utilizing problem solving techniques resulting in timely resolve and complete repair.
Report all downtime to Maintenance Leadership and/or Operations.
Ensure a safe work environment while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Follow all Belk and OSHA Safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
Complete and enter in the CMMS System assigned preventative as well as all other maintenance work orders as scheduled by the end of shift.
Maintain a courteous and professional work ethic, appearance, and attitude.
Timely completion of other duties as assigned.
Maintain and account for all Belk supplied tools.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all Maintenance Shop areas.
Assist other members of the Maintenance Department with completing tasks when needed.
Familiar with and can safely operate all facility and material handling equipment and assorted hand-held and power tools, torch, welder, impact tools and electrical testing equipment.
All employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Work overtime or non-scheduled hours as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.
Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management System.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated by state and federal OSHA regulations.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk long distances, and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, crawling, as well as lifting, moving, and carrying up to 60 pounds.
