Student Custodian

The Custodial Department at Columbia International University is seeking a Student Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of campus buildings. This position supports the daily operations of the custodial team by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks while contributing to a safe and welcoming campus environment.

• Vacuum floors and carpets.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Sweep and mop assigned areas.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Clean windows and other glass surfaces.
• Assist with general custodial and building maintenance tasks as assigned.

• Must be a Federal Work Study (FWS) undergraduate student.
• Must be available to work throughout the entire academic year.
• Must be available to work 15–20 hours per week.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work independently.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Gain hands-on experience in facilities and custodial operations.
• Develop teamwork, organization, and time management skills.
• Work in a collaborative campus environment.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for the CIU community.
