This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Foundry Maintenance Supervisor to unlock your ambition and work the future at Aalberts.
As a full-time Maintenance Supervisor in the Foundry at Aalberts, located in Pageland, SC, you will be responsible for all personnel within the maintenance department. The supervisor will oversee all preventative maintenance schedules and quick responses to machine breakdowns. They will assist with all new installations.

- Manage the first shift maintenance team on a day-to-day basis, preventative maintenance schedules, while providing quick responses to breakdowns.
- Assign work orders to the team and complete as scheduled.
- Review completed work orders to ensure they are complete and correct.
- Motivate the team to achieve performance targets.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure the foundry runs as smoothly.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager to ensure requests cause minimal engineering downtime and disruption to process flows.
- Maintain adequate materials and spare parts that remain within approved budgets.
- Ensure safe working practices are applied to all engineering and maintenance activities by personal inspections and monitoring procedures.
- Lead the team with hands-on examples and supervision.
- Monitor plant downtime and performance, initiate repairs, and make necessary modifications.
- Provide technical support for the design and installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment.
- Manage third-party maintenance contractors and ensure they follow site procedures.
- Perform monthly facility walk through and make notes of facility condition. Create work orders as required to repair all noted discrepancies.
- Perform casual labor properly, such as lifting/moving heavy items following appropriate safety procedures.
- Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring and belts in machines and equipment.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by your manager
- Extensive mechanical and electrical experience.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a machining or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Continue learning new technology and techniques to reduce redundancy and recommend new cost saving ideas.
- Strong knowledge and application of safety rules and regulations.
- Experience implementing TPM or similar reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, foundry environment.
- Able to function in a leadership role and interact positively and openly with employees, managers and contractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work constructively in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
