Building Maintenance
Your job is more than a job. Your every day Ensures proper surface preparation for painting and matches paint colors. Removes old paint to assure proper adhesion and ensures proper surface preparation for painting. Selects premixed paints or prepares paint to match specific colors. Applies finishes as required/requested. Performs daily preventative maintenance to designated flagged patient rooms assuring that the task is completed in a professional and speedy manner to avoid the loss of the room for an extended period of time.
Enters supply rooms on nursing units as needed to perform necessary job functions. Refrains from manipulating or removing any intravenous fluids that are stored in the area. Performs general repair and installation such as removng, repairing, and installing ceiling grid and tiles. Applies materials as needed and ensures safety. Hangs paper and vinyl wall coverings. Applies opaque material to doors, lights, and windows.
Locates and repairs penetrations in fire/smoke walls. Performs facility/general maintenance on an as needed basis to assure serviceability of the hospital. Your must haves
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 (three) years of experience in painting or related area.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree from an accredited vocational or trade school in Painting, Facility repairs and maintenance or equivalent.

Operates hand tools, power tools, equipment and electrical testing equipment requiring manual dexterity.
Ability to understand oral and written instructions, schematic drawings and layouts. Utilize computer, printer, copier, telephone, calculator, cell phone and 2-way radios.
Ability to work alternative/shift work schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime hours. Knowledge of computer maintenance management software.
