Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Ridgeland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces. Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including cleaning resident rooms, recreational areas, and common spaces

• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and ledges, as well as clean windows and mirrors

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and clean carpets and walls

• Clean bathrooms, including washing, sanitizing, and polishing fixtures

• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners

• Clean hallways, stairways, and vacant rooms as assigned

• Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures

• Participate in laundry duties as needed

Requirements:

• Must possess an "Eligible" Background Screening status

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public

Work Environment:

• Work will be performed in a long-term care facility, with varying temperatures and humidity levels

• May be required to lift, push, or pull heavy objects, and to work in a fast-paced environment
