EMPLOYMENT

TERMS:

For the  School Year

Must be willing to work on an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent;
Must have passed the WV state competency test for custodian.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Materials, chemicals, disinfectants, equipment, and methods used in professional cleaning work; sanitation and safety measures in the operating, cleaning and care of equipment and work areas; and safety practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the cleanliness and attractiveness of the school building;
Keep rooms clean and in an orderly appearance;
Keeping restrooms, hallways and entrances clean and manageable;
Keeping entrance area and sidewalks free of snow and ice;
Run sweeper, empty wastebaskets, clean windows, and perform other custodial duties;
Able to perform tasks which may range from light cleaning to heavy lifting;
Possess a good personality for working in close proximity with children;
Safely use and care for equipment and supplies; safely use manual and/or electric cleaning equipment; keep accurate inventories; follow directions; learn and perform routine custodial tasks; work courteously and cooperatively with others.

SALARY:

Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
