This position reports to:

Service Manager__The Breaker repair Shop Supervisor is responsible for the ABB Service Center at Charleston, WV facility that mainly conducts breaker inspection and repair. This person develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you are responsible for work that is defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and must have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

This position has a solid line reporting to the Field Services Operations Leader.

The work model for the role is:
Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in the US.You will be mainly accountable for:

Preserve ABB’s Safety Culture on every aspect and as priority, in the field and always keeping an eye on co-workers. Perform Environmental Health and Safety inspections in various degrees

Maintain an inventory tracking sheet for repairs going through the shop. Inspect and repair breakers coming to the shop.

Prepare change orders and send them to customers for additional repairs. Process PO revisions and ensure ERP system is updated for sales and cost amount

Order parts through the ERP (SAP) needed for the repairs. Receive purchased items in ERP (SAP) system.

Supervise labor on breaker repair if additional help/technicians are added to the team. Ship/deliver/and pickup breakers or equipment that have been serviced.

Qualifications for the role Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Electrical or Mechanical repair shop.

Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time to support business lead initiatives undefined

Desired Characteristics

Experience with various electrical controls (power delivery) and systems to include:

Breakers Medium-Voltage Switchgear Low-Voltage Switchgear Power Panels & Motor Control Center Generators & Transformers Maintenance Automatic Transfer Switches Electromechanical Repairs Wiring Diagrams: one-line electrical drawings

Blueprints & Schematics Test Equipment & Instruments Relay Testing & installation (preferred)
Instruments; PLC’s & DCS (preferred)
Parallel Switchgear (preferred)
Variable Frequency Drives (preferred)
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Proven analytical and quality improvement ability.

Demonstrated proficiency in repair troubleshooting, shop operations, and testing of assigned programs / hardware.

Ability to make formal presentations to all audiences.

Able to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management.

Project management or supervisory experience (meeting deadlines, resource & budget handling).Demonstrated ability to lead and influence customers and peers.
