Part TimeTo provide all customers, both internal and external, with an exceptional experience while striving to exceed expectations. Performs dishwashing and utility tasks relating to the Dining Department in accordance with applicable regulations and departmental policies and procedures. This includes food preparation of both hot and cold food items.
Essential Functions:Complies with all departmental policies and procedures (includes, but not limited to-HACCP, both regularly scheduled and mandatory in-services, adherence to all local, state and federal food and safety regulations including, CARF, DPH, EOEA, BOH, CDC and USDA Food Code guidelines). Other duties may be assigned.
If necessary, de-limes the dish machine as needed. Keeps area clean and organized following the cleaning checklist. Keeps pace with the workflow volume. Follows proper pot cleaning procedures. Keeps noise to a minimum as to not disturb the dining residents. Keeps productive at all times. Assists wait staff as needed. Maintains an adequate supply of clean dishes, glasses, and flatware throughout serving times.
Follows safety procedures – cleaning spills, sweeping and mopping floors of the kitchen, refrigerator/freezers, and storage areas. Follow all safety guidelines for chemical and equipment use. Responsible for organizing all storage and supply areas etc., including proper removal and disposable of trash, compostable and recycling items If needed can step in to assist in the dining room as a server.
Properly completes all dish machine, pot sink and sanitizer logs as directed.

- Previous customer service of at least 6 months

- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the public.
- Ability to report to work regularly and promptly.
- Ability to work beyond normal hours when necessary.
- Ability to relate in a positive manner to all residents, including emotionally upset and residents with mild cognitive impairment.
