Duties

Position Summary:

The Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Programs provides visionary leadership for the design, coordination, and evaluation of instructional programs, professional learning systems, and assessment practices across all ECHO programs. This position ensures coherence, compliance, and continuous improvement to enhance outcomes for all learners.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Lead curriculum, instruction, and assessment efforts to ensure consistency, rigor, and alignment across ECHO programs.

* Coordinate and supervise the implementation and evaluation of instructional programs and services.

* Oversee curriculum alignment with Illinois Learning Standards and specialized instructional needs.

* Oversee program referral processes.

* Monitor assessment data to inform decisions and guide instructional improvements.

* Supervise and evaluate program administrators and assigned staff.

* Ensure evidence-based instructional practices and equitable learning opportunities for all students.

* Develop and coordinate professional learning systems aligned with ECHO's strategic priorities.

* Review, monitor, and evaluate student data to ensure programmatic effectiveness.

* Collaborate with member districts to provide technical assistance, relevant professional development, monthly meetings, and other supportive services.

* Oversee compliance with ISBE, IDEA, and other federal/state legal and reporting mandates.

* Coordinate the ECHO Certified Evaluation Advisory Committee and evaluation processes.

* Serve as liaison to Curriculum and Assessment and Finance/Personnel Board Standing Committees.

* Plan and organize state-wide assessment procedures and processes across ECHO programs, member, and non/member districts.

* Assist in budget planning, grant writing, and securing external funding for instructional improvement.

* Coordinate ECHO's assessment and data systems to ensure integrity and effective reporting.

* Develop partnerships with universities and agencies to enhance programs and professional learning.

* Contribute to the implementation and progress monitoring of the ECHO Strategic Plan.

* Perform other duties assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master's Degree in Education or related field (Doctorate preferred).

* Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative and/or Director of Special Education endorsement.

* Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching and administrative experience in curriculum, instruction, or special education.

* Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum design, instructional best practices, and assessment systems.

* Strong understanding of state and federal education laws and special education regulations.

* Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

* Experience in curriculum modification and individualization of curriculum and instruction.

Salary/Benefits

Terms of Employment:

* 12-month work year

* Salary range is $120,000-$160,000 based on verified experience and education.
