Facility and Grounds Technician - 3rd Shift

Maintenance Technician

Performs duties to maintain building and grounds; perform general housekeeping repairs and installations; and conduct scheduled safety audits of safety related equipment through the entire facility.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the building facilities are in good working order and meet expectations
• Performing general installations or repairs including but not limited to plumbing, lighting – inside and out, painting, and general carpentry
• Repairing cook racks and dollies daily to ensure availability for production
• Performing and documenting weekly inspections of eye wash stations and making needed repairs
• Performing and documenting monthly fire extinguisher and emergency lighting inspections making any needed repairs
• Maintaining safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Keeping walkways clear of snow and ice, maintaining emergency exits making sure they are accessible
• Performing other duties as assigned

Supervisory/management responsibilities are not applicable.

Requirements include:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Able to speak, read, and write English, bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, painting, assembly and repairs
• Valid state driver's license
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• 3 – 5 years related building maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred

Physical requirements include:

• Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds on a regular basis
• Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
• Able to operate variety of hand and power tools on a frequent, daily basis
• Able to climb, crouch, kneel and crawl on an occasional basis to service variety of equipment
