Summary

Under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, the Maintenance Workers, responsible for the upkeep of the equipment and facility, checking work orders daily to perform all maintenance duties and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Completes required preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment
  • Troubleshoots and repairs all manufacturing equipment (Drilling machines, paint line, presses, forklifts etc.)
  • Performs routine electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment
  • Performs general maintenance and repairs of facility and grounds (including basic carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, groundskeeping etc.)
  • Inspects all building locations, and schedules repairs
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
  • Uses tape measure, caliper, micrometer and other measuring tools to perform tasks accordingly
  • Supports operations as needed

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience preferred in a steel/metal manufacturing setting
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, groundskeeping) preferred
  • Experience providing routine preventative maintenance preferred
  • Experience providing manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repair required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & ability to travel between Wisconsin locations
