Industrial Maintenance Intern; Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the organization and management of inventory across multiple areas (Maintenance storeroom, VMI room, Mix plant warehouse mezzanine, and/or other areas).
• Support the completion of large‑scale inventory and organization projects.
• Contribute to the development of Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and routine repairs and rebuilds performed during plant shutdowns.
• Perform accurate data entry into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while performing tasks.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field; second‑year standing or higher.
• Coursework dealing with mechanical systems, maintenance practices, or related technical areas preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow direction and work independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn the CMMS system.
• Ability to perform hands‑on tasks in a maintenance environment (majority of tasks will involve dirty or physically demanding work).
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and eagerness to learn.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

• Real‑world experience in inventory management and stockroom organization.
• Develop technical writing skills through the creation of maintenance Standard Work Instructions.
• Learn and apply CMMS and Excel for maintenance tracking and data entry.
• Mentorship and collaboration with experienced professionals.
• Build foundational skills for careers in maintenance, operations, engineering, or supply chain.
