Kier Property Management
is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support the upkeep, appearance, and overall quality of our residential communities. This position will travel between various Kier properties throughout the local area based on daily maintenance and property needs.

This role is an important part of our maintenance team and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping properties clean and well-maintained, and is comfortable working at different locations throughout the workweek.

Pay, Schedule & Benefits
  • $17–$21 per hour
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Travel between various local Kier properties as assigned

What You’ll Do
  • Travel to various local Kier properties to assist with maintenance and property needs
  • Work with the maintenance team to complete apartment trash outs safely and efficiently
  • Assist with grounds maintenance
    , including landscaping, outdoor cleaning, and general property upkeep
  • Support Maintenance Technicians with day-to-day responsibilities, including maintaining tools and equipment
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist with minor repair and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Help with snow removal and seasonal property maintenance
  • Attend required meetings, property inspections, and training sessions
  • Follow all company safety procedures, protocols, and guidelines
  • Use the Maintenance Work Order System and follow assigned work instructions
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing and ADA requirements

  • Willingness to take direction from the Maintenance Director and other Maintenance team members
  • Ability to operate and use the Maintenance Work Order System
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the role
  • Professional communication skills when interacting with employees, management, vendors, residents, and external partners
Education & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    technical or trade school certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability and willingness to travel between various local Kier properties as assigned
  • Must meet company requirements related to criminal history background, driving record, and drug screenings
  • Driving record must meet applicable company auto insurance requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently lift and/or move 50–100 pounds
  • Occasionally lift more than 100 pounds
    , with assistance available when needed
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat
  • Ability to perform work requiring close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to wear required PPE
    , including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves
  • Ability to wear appropriate work clothing and protective equipment based on conditions, including enclosed-toe footwear, coveralls, and face masks when required
