Maintenance Assistant (Hotel)

Location: Hampton Inn by Hilton - 205 New World Way, South Plainfield, NJ 0708

We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This is a full‑time position with a shift from 8am to 4pm. Flexible availability is needed.

• Basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Maintain all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and record such maintenance in log books as required by Buffalo Lodging and the hotel brand.
• Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as required by state and local regulations.
• Clean internal areas of buildings including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage; maintain cleanliness of public and storage areas as well as the parking lot.

Typical shifts:
Any day of the week, including weekends.

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs; reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
• Valid driver’s license.

Schedule is based on business needs; normally Tuesday–Saturday hours from 9am–5pm. Weekend/holiday availability is required.
