Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the plant's maintenance and reliability strategy to maximize equipment uptime, asset performance, labor efficiency, and overall operating cost effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, failure trend review, equipment reliability data, and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, implement, and optimize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to reduce downtime, improve equipment reliability, and enhance maintenance effectiveness.
- Establish equipment criticality rankings and maintenance strategies that prioritize resources based on operational risk, reliability, safety, and business impact.
- Lead maintenance planning and scheduling processes to improve planned work execution, maximize labor utilization, reduce emergency maintenance, and increase equipment availability.
- Develop and manage spare parts and inventory control programs, including critical spare strategies, inventory optimization, vendor partnerships, and lifecycle planning to minimize operational risk and control costs.
- Develop short- and long-range maintenance and operational plans that support current business needs, future growth objectives, and competitive operating costs.
- Manage maintenance budgets, manpower planning, performance metrics, and cost-control initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Build and develop a high-performing maintenance organization by setting clear expectations, providing performance feedback, identifying training needs, and strengthening capabilities in troubleshooting, reliability, precision maintenance, root cause analysis, and CMMS utilization.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FSIS, and company standards while fostering strong partnerships with Operations, Quality, Food Safety, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
Directly supervises the Maintenance Supervisors in accordance with Daily's Premium Meats Policy.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; or 10-12 years Mechanical Experience, with automation experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals in the English language. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSUse of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) along with the ability to use some mathematical formulas and calculations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to estimate the labor required to perform maintenance tasks, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written and/or verbal form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about the facility. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperature, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
