Maintenance Tech

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Full Time Maintenance Tech to support safe, comfortable environments for clients and staff across our human services facilities. In this on-site role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues, and respond to urgent repair needs. You'll complete work orders, assist with groundskeeping and safety checks, and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, resident rooms, and common areas
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues
• Complete work orders promptly, documenting actions and parts used
• Conduct safety inspections and support compliance with health, fire, and building codes
• Assist with groundskeeping, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in safe working order
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and on-call needs
• Support moves, room setups, and minor remodeling projects
• Collaborate with care and program staff to minimize disruption to clients
