Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Brickworks SA are seeking a qualified and committed Plant Electrician
, on an afternoon shift, to join our Austral Bricks plant in Golden Grove, SA. Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing site breakdowns, modifications and carrying out preventative maintenance on the PLC network, SCADA, and process control communication systems.
- Monday to Thursday: 2:15 pm – 10:45 pm
- Friday: 11:45 am – 5:45 pm
- Overtime available.
- Assist with and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
- Develop and maintain standardised work method statements.
- Scope requirements for management change requests, identify solutions, and take appropriate action.
- Scope electrical project requirements as requested; install, test, and commission.
- Ensure plant assets are properly maintained to support the efficient operation of equipment.
- Plan required maintenance tasks to minimise associated downtime.
- Conduct proactive breakdown analysis, identify problem areas within the plant, and review and document proposed solutions.
- Electrical Trade Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience in similar role.
- Adequate skill in Technical Trade aptitude and problem solving.
- Fault finding in an industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to find technical fault finding.
- Sound ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans and specifications.
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks and ensure quick response to emergency breakdowns.
