SummaryThe CWO Mechanic position will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and verifying serviceability of aircraft parts and components through the component shop utilizing Company and Vendor approved processes and procedures.

- Clean and evaluate/troubleshoot components for defects.
- Determine appropriate component repair based on approved Company and Vendor processes and procedures.
- Order parts for component repair using approved Company process.
- Reassemble and test components to ensure serviceability.
- Ensure all work performed is properly documented, signed off, and compliant with FAA/EASA and internal quality standards
- Communicate work order progress, delays, or issues to supervisors and stakeholders
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to work order processes and workflow efficiency
- Other duties as assigned to include but not limited to:
- Operation of the Company fuel truck as needed
- Utilizing Company provided vehicles to transport aircraft parts to and from the offsite storage warehouse. (box truck and truck and trailer combos)
- Assisting with weekly storage aircraft inspections
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate and convey information.
- Ability to utilize aircraft/component technical manuals to determine damage limitations and find appropriate repair instructions.
- Ability to understand and use calibrated measuring devices. (calipers, torque wrenches, feeler gauges, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Ramco ERP system.
- Attention to detail is critical.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid A&P License
- Ability to successfully utilize vendor manuals, to find, understand information then determine appropriate component damage limitations and repair processes.

- Successfully complete company General Familiarization courses, as requested.
- Works efficiently, organized, with ability to handle shifting priorities.
- Detail oriented, flexible, with willingness to be a team player.
- Ability to handle complex tasks with multiple layers that require precision and attention to detail.
- Calm, even temper when things get frustrating, uses common sense, good attendance.
- Inquisitive, ability to give and receive feedback, willing to ask questions when unsure.

This job operates in an office and hangar environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
The noise level in the work environment is usually at a typical office level and while in the hangar with frequent periods of moderately loud noises. Exposure to industrial chemical smells, fragrances, animals, etc.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to a hangar environment with walking/traversing hazards, uneven surfaces and stairs.
