Construction & General Labor Roles — Spokane | $19/hr Job Description
Join our team as a General Laborer! You will begin with general cleaning and sanitation of a flour mill and have the opportunity to get cross‑trained in packing, milling, and more. This role starts with maintaining cleanliness to meet safety standards, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. After the initial 30–60 days, you’ll have the chance to transition into warehouse or milling operations, offering a clear path for career growth.
Responsibilities- Perform general cleaning and sanitation tasks within the flour mill.
- Sweep flour dust and maintain cleanliness to meet safety standards.
- Execute blowdown procedures, cleaning dust off equipment and sweeping it up.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures when cleaning inside equipment.
- Transition into warehouse or mill operations after 3 months, based on company needs and personal interests.
- Mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of hands‑on work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable using computers and performing data entry.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot and dusty environments.
Skills & Qualifications
- Interest in learning a trade, such as milling.
- Experience with baking, cooking, palletizing, quality inspection, forklift operation, materials handling, or machine operation.
- Strong math aptitude with ability to keep count, read, and write.
- Solid work history and desire for career growth.

- Dusty and loud environment with machines operating continuously.
- Large, older building where temperatures can reach 115°F in summer.
- Safety is a priority — hair nets, beard nets, hard hats, and steel‑toe boots required.
- Physical work includes climbing stairs and navigating slippery areas due to flour on the ground.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.39 – $19.39/hr.
