The Courier is responsible for a full range of purchasing, warehousing, and delivery activities including receiving, storing, selecting and shipping materials and equipment. This position will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed review of specification or descriptions of purchase requests for generalized and specialized supplies, equipment, services or commercial requirements
  • Maintain accurate purchase information in the procurement automated system; receive and log supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory control system and proper inventory at central warehouse and decentralized locations
  • Screen and identify shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies
  • Responsible for immediate staff material requests
  • Prepare supplies for all sites for transporting
  • Disperse supplies and equipment directly to all sites or warehouse
  • Retrieve mail from the post office on a daily basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct reports.

Compensation: $16.97 - $24.20

* Taking into account education and experience related to the position.

Qualifications

  • Must register for Pharmacy Assistant license within 120 days of hire (required)
  • Valid driver’s license (required)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

With multiple locations and settings, PCHS’ work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee’s role. Essential job functions include the following:
The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employees may be exposed to mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
