Facilities Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)
Reports to: Director of Cemetery Operations
Supervises: None
Location: All Properties – Position – Non-Exempt/Non-Union
Position SummaryPerforms and/or coordinates activities related to the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of all facilities including Heritage Funeral Home, PNW locations, Mausoleums, Offices, Columbariums, and Statues. Responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and professional facilities through routine janitorial services, preventative maintenance, carpet cleaning, and minor building repairs.
Primary Duties, Requirements and ResponsibilitiesWeekly office and facility cleaning to include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
- Dusting offices, mausoleums, and common areas
- Wiping and disinfecting surfaces
- Emptying trash and recycling receptacles
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Window cleaning as needed
Facility maintenance to include:
- Furnace filter replacement
- Monitor lighting and replace bulbs as needed
- Ozone machine cleaning and maintenance
- Minor painting
- Carpet cleaning
- Minor repairs both interior and exterior
- Tightening furniture and fixtures
- Responding to maintenance requests from staff
- Cleaning and maintenance of mausoleums twice per week
- Weekly cleaning and maintenance of office locations
- Annual cleaning and maintenance of columbariums, private mausoleums and buildings.
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating building maintenance and repairs outside the scope of the position.
- Responsible for operating within the allowed budget for the Building Maintenance Department.
Some evening and weekend work may be required for carpet cleaning and special projects.
Performs other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.

Must be physically able to perform all tasks related to the position including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, frequent walking, occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and keyboarding.
Must be able to work in inclement weather, including rain, snow, sleet, hail, cold and hot days.

Minimum Qualifications- Previous janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of cleaning and mechanical equipment.
- Requires substantial physical activity and mobility.
- Ability to learn new skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
