Position: Property Care Technician

Status: Full-time, Non-exempt

Salary: $19-$22 hourly

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 6 am - 3 pm or 7 am – 4 pm, as well as paid rotating on-call schedule

About this role: The Property Care Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the property's interior and exterior spaces. This role supports daily operations by ensuring common areas, facilities, and grounds are well-maintained, stocked, and presentable for personnel and visitors. The position also handles seasonal tasks, unit turnovers, and light maintenance projects as needed.

What you'll do:

In the role of Property Care Technician, you will clean and polish all brass, including hand and door rails as well as clean all inside glass and outside ground floor and pavilion windows. You will receive and rotate stock, and keep restrooms stocked. Additionally, you will water all properties outside plants and trees, and clean and wash sidewalks, front porch, and revolving door areas, and clean all property barbeques.

You will also rotate, plant, and monitor new annuals every spring, and assist in unit turns. You will do light patching and painting of units and common areas. Additional duties include flushing roof drains twice yearly, cleaning smoke detectors quarterly, and cleaning projection booth monthly. You will strip and wax various floor surfaces, clean carpets, and perform spill response and cleanup.

As needed, you will setup and move office and conference room furniture, as well as perform leaf and snow removal. You will dust, mop and wet mop boiler, meter and electrical rooms, and clean water cooling and elevator room. You will also clean cooking room appliances and barbeques, sweep and dust stairwells, and clean and maintain smoking area. There may be other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to SO pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
