Position Summary

Role summary:
The (USA) Exterior Services Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing facility exteriors through effective project management, cost control, and quality assurance. This position involves coordinating scheduled maintenance, overseeing third-party providers, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician collaborates with stakeholders to address facility needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements that support operational efficiency and sustainability.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential to deliver high-quality service while upholding company standards and fostering a safe, productive work environment.

• Prepare and manage budgets by developing cost estimates and approving purchases for parts, materials, and equipment.
• Plan and prioritize work assignments, maintain workforce needs, and ensure timely completion of projects and service tasks.
• Oversee landscaping, snow removal, equipment maintenance, and seasonal service activities to maintain facility standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations by following established policies and procedures.
• Lead third-party providers, conduct quality inspections, and provide coaching to support professional development.
• Troubleshoot issues, communicate with facility users, and resolve service-related concerns to maintain a safe environment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support business needs, identify improvements, and promote continuous learning and adaptability.

• Proven experience in managing exterior facility services, including landscaping, snow removal, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong ability to develop and execute budgets, cost estimates, and material requisitions for projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Skilled in coordinating and leading third-party providers and internal teams to meet quality and safety requirements.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address customer needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Ability to analyze operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00
* * The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Vocational or Technical Certification or 2 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, or Construction and/or related field

• Associates Degree or similar certification in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related field, Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Third-party management experience
• Project Management
