The Sanitor plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within a food manufacturing environment. This position ensures that all production areas, equipment, and common spaces are sanitized according to strict industry and company protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product safety. The Sanitor collaborates closely with production and quality assurance teams to support a clean and safe workplace that complies with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sanitation or janitorial roles within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards related to industrial cleaning.
• Certification in industrial cleaning or sanitation practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of manufacturing floors, machinery, tools, and workstations using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Follow established sanitation schedules and protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Inspect and report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning activities to the relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and chemical usage to support quality control and regulatory audits.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in sanitation processes and implement best practices.

The Sanitor utilizes their knowledge of cleaning agents and sanitation techniques daily to ensure all areas meet hygiene standards critical to manufacturing safety.
