We are looking to fill positions for the 2026 Illinois State fair in the following area:

  • Buildings & Grounds – Maintains clean, safe and attractive public use areas.

Available Shifts

Night Shift 5:30 pm – 3:30 am – Must be 18 years or older.

Grandstand Shift 5:00 pm – 2:00 am – Must be 18 years or older.

Day Shift – 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Illinois Department of Agriculture is seeking individuals, for temporary employment not to exceed 6 months, for the Illinois State Fair summer season. Temporary employees are needed for the following area:
Buildings and Grounds. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to work in a constantly changing fast‑paced environment. Successful candidates will be individuals who can work promptly and efficiently in order to maintain that the Illinois State Fair, as well as non‑fair events, run effectively. Applicants are encouraged to apply early as offers for positions will be made on a first‑come, first‑serve basis.
