Substitute Custodians

Starting Date: Immediately

HOURS: As Needed

REQUIREMENTS/

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be constantly alert for unsafe conditions and report them immediately. BE SAFTEY MINDED
• High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to read and interpret written work instructions, which are left by the Head Custodian or Principal/Building Manager
• Be able to work under the direction of supervisor (Head Custodian) and be able to work with other District Personnel
• Ability to perform all job-related functions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to maintain adequate attendance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweep rooms, halls, entrances and sidewalks
• Dust and move furniture
• Wet mop and operate scrubbing/buffing machines
• Vacuum and shampoo carpeting
• Wash windows inside and out
• Wash furniture, chalkboards, walls and lighting fixtures
• Clean restrooms, fixtures, walls and floors
• Replace light bulbs
• Remove snow from sidewalks and apply de-icer
• Perform general yard maintenance
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
