Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor
Job Description
Under general supervision, performs the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scrubber, etc.). Functions as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duties assigned to best serve the Company.
- Obtain daily work orders for material handling equipment maintenance and/or repair.
- Minimize downtime for equipment.
- Order necessary parts to maintain equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to equipment standards, guidelines, and time frames.
- Ensure batteries and battery charging equipment are properly maintained and functional according to standards.
- Maintain master maintenance and repair schedule and systems to ensure proper temperature and operation, assisting with repairs and maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining of facility.
- Maintain maintenance shop in a clean and orderly manner.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and be financially prudent with all expenses incurred.
- Follow all safety standards and policies.
- Perform all needed general maintenance and repairs for grounds, warehouse, shop, and office facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

Qualifications- Education:
High School Diploma/GED - Experience:
1 year of maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, and general maintenance and repairs for a large warehouse, fleet shop, and office facilities.
- Education:
Associate's degree or 2‑year technical degree - Experience:
6–10 years in maintenance and material handling equipment maintenance for large warehouse, fleet shop, and office facilities; food service distribution and warehousing industry experience. - Professional Certification(s):
Material Handling Equipment Technician education/certification
