Forklift Pallet Jack Mechanic

Job Description

Under general supervision, performs troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scrubber, etc.) and systems. Handles general maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment. Helps maintain facilities, buildings, and grounds according to an established preventative maintenance schedule and on an "as‑needed" basis. Observes all safety and regulatory standards. Ensures quality of work product while working efficiently and timely.

This position functions as a team member within the department and organization and performs any duties assigned to best serve the Company.

• Obtain daily work orders for material handling equipment maintenance and/or repair, minimizing downtime.
• Order necessary parts required to maintain equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to equipment standards, guidelines, and time frames.
• Ensure batteries and battery charging equipment are properly maintained and functional.
• Maintain master maintenance and repair schedule and systems to ensure proper temperature and operation; assist with repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of facility.
• Maintain maintenance shop in a clean and orderly manner.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and be financially prudent with all expenses incurred.
• Follow all safety standards and policies.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs for grounds, warehouse, shop, and office facilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Sunday–Thursday 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year of maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance, and general maintenance and repairs for large warehouse, fleet shop, and office facilities.

$25.00 – $28.00 per hour
