Summary

Responsible for cleaning and refurbishing new and used cars.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cleans interior and exterior of vehicles.
  • Waxes and buffs exterior of vehicles.
  • Vacuum and cleans vehicle upholstery.
  • Cleans engine.
  • Paints engine.
  • Applies touch‑up paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle.
  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follows safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the company’s core values.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations in performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Attendance Expectations

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Environment Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet (non‑weather) and outdoor weather conditions. Duties are performed primarily in a designated detailing area of the dealership, but may extend to various areas throughout the facility, both indoors and outdoors. Work includes frequent movement in and out of cars, contact with vehicle cleaning and painting products, and limited interaction with customers.

Salary

Wages include base compensation of $17.00 - $22.00 per flat‑rate hour. The position also may pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 to any amount without any fixed upper limit.
