Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for responding to maintenance requests, performing plumbing repairs, and maintaining the property’s overall functionality. • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Install, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems, including cable drains, clearing clogged lines, sweating pipes, and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
• Perform outdoor custodial duties to keep the property clean and presentable.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists on property equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Prior experience in maintenance, plumbing, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage urgent maintenance needs.
• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing maintenance tasks in various weather conditions.

• Adhere to dress code; appearance must be neat and clean.
• Complete monthly/annual safety training requirements.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Wear identification while on duty.
• Maintain regulatory requirements; state, federal, and local regulations.
• Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Comply with all policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
• Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
• Participate in performance and continuous quality improvement activities.

• Required – High School Diploma.
• Preferred – One year of Maintenance Tech/Custodian or Janitorial/custodian experience.
• Preferred – One year of experience operating floor care or motorized equipment.

• Listening skills – strong active listening skills help Service Workers follow instructions clearly and understand what is required of them before beginning a task.
• Attention to detail – Service Workers ensure that the area they are managing is cleaned thoroughly, so attention to detail is a key aspect of the role.
• Time management – this job requires the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and to set schedules, so applicants need good time management skills.
• Physical stamina – Service Workers spend most of their workday on their feet, operating cleaning equipment so good physical strength and stamina is a must.
• Mechanical skills – this job involves using, driving and charging floor cleaning equipment and tools, so applicants must be familiar with mechanical equipment.
