Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Facility Maintenance, Building Maintenance
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for responding to maintenance requests, performing plumbing repairs, and maintaining the property’s overall functionality. If you have experience in plumbing, custodial work, and general maintenance, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Install, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems, including cable drains, clearing clogged lines, sweating pipes, and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
- Perform outdoor custodial duties to keep the property clean and presentable.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists on property equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Prior experience in maintenance, plumbing, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage urgent maintenance needs.
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing maintenance tasks in various weather conditions.
- Adhere to dress code; appearance must be neat and clean.
- Complete monthly/annual safety training requirements.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Wear identification while on duty.
- Maintain regulatory requirements; state, federal, and local regulations.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
- Participate in performance and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Required – High School Diploma.
- Preferred – One year of Maintenance Tech/Custodian or Janitorial/custodian experience.
- Preferred – One year of experience operating floor care or motorized equipment.
- Listening skills – strong active listening skills help Service Workers follow instructions clearly and understand what is required of them before beginning a task.
- Attention to detail – Service Workers ensure that the area they are managing is cleaned thoroughly, so attention to detail is a key aspect of the role.
- Time management – this job requires the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and to set schedules, so applicants need good time management skills.
- Physical stamina – Service Workers spend most of their workday on their feet, operating cleaning equipment so good physical strength and stamina is a must.
- Mechanical skills – this job involves using, driving and charging floor cleaning equipment and tools, so applicants must be familiar with mechanical equipment.

Physical Requirements- Employees may experience the following physical demands during their work shift:
- Standing and/or walking (75–80%).
- Bending, kneeling, squatting, and/or stooping.
- Pulling or pushing carts or flatbeds.
- Exposure to wind, rain, cold, and heat.
