About Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium

Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium features a 1.5‑million‑gallon Aquarium Adventure showcasing 35,000 animals and immersive Wildlife Galleries. In 2022 the museum received AZA accreditation, reflecting high standards for animal welfare, education, and staff training. The 350,000‑square‑foot facility celebrates conservation and stewardship and is located next to Bass Pro Shops National Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain essential life support systems for diverse aquatic environments.
  • Conduct routine inspections of filtration systems and perform water quality testing.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal operating conditions.
  • Document system performance and participate in preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support conservation efforts and enhance guest experiences.
Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of aquatic ecosystems and water chemistry.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Attention to detail for monitoring equipment and conducting precise water quality tests.
