Location:

Springfield, MO 65802. Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Hours:

Hourly.

• Troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• General remodeling, maintenance of facility roadways, parking lots and snow removal.
• Performing routine maintenance on building systems.
• Caring of grounds and landscapes.
• Provide safety and maintenance training to additional departments as needed.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule in the group homes, ISLs, administrative facilities, and other Arc facilities.
• Minor repair to buildings and equipment with general remodeling work.
• Perform tasks common to the care of grounds and landscapes such as mowing lawns, trimming and edging, weeding, thinning, cleaning flower beds, etc.
• Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained at all Arc facilities.
• Arrange and coordinate the internal safety inspections of residential facilities and the Activity Center and follow up on deficiencies and recommendations.
• Participate in the process and function of The Arc of the Ozarks Health and Safety Committee.
• Complete, coordinate, and arrange for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with Arc of the Ozarks operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations.
• Ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable conditions and/or arrange for replacement.
• Provide training as assigned to the residential staff as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of residential facilities.

• A knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and carpentry. This may be measured by other jobs held and work required in those jobs and or certificates of training in the above mentioned areas.
• Experience as a maintenance person in a residential/commercial setting is helpful.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing 75 pounds.
• A minimum of eighteen years of age and possession of a diploma from an accredited high school or the equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance person.
• Maintenance experience in a residential or other type of setting is preferred.
• Proven ability to complete maintenance projects in the past.
