Position: Satellite Maintenance Technician - Springfield, OR

Are you a Maintenance Technician with experience in property maintenance looking to take your next step? You will work at three of our Springfield, OR properties, Centennial Apartments, M Street and Chalet Apartments. These properties are within four miles of each other and total 296 units.

  • Schedule:

    Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for training then will move to Tuesday to Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm (must be available for after hours calls)

A Day in the Life
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair and cleaning.
  • Scheduling with vendors
  • Owning preventive maintenance – inspections and capex improvements.
  • Ensuring the building is in compliance with all physical asset requirements.
  • Perform unit turns including but not limited to servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, replace burnt out light bulbs and interior painting
  • Address and follow up as necessary on all residents’ work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers and work with them to produce the best product and pricing for the properties.
  • Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to, residents, tenants, the Property manager, Portfolio manager, office staff, and vendors.
  • Owning preventive maintenance- inspections and capex improvements
  • Ensuring building is in compliance with all physical asset requirements
  • Complete all work in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • 1+ years general maintenance experience or equivalent training is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Oregon State Landlord-Tenant Laws helpful
