Keep premises of commercial, retail, airport, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers/arenas or other institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, finishes, and polishes floors.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; climb or balance; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must have close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Requires occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles. Noise level can be loud.
QualificationsEducation/
Experience:
No prior experience or training required.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information effectively to customers, clients, and other employees in English.
Math Ability:
Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; perform operations using units of American monetary and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
