Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We’re seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Mechanic Lead to drive equipment reliability and support day‑to‑day facility operations. This role combines advanced troubleshooting across electrical (12
VDC–480
VAC), pneumatic, and mechanical systems with team leadership responsibilities, including training mechanics and promoting a proactive maintenance culture. You’ll help manage CMMS accuracy, support inventory and parts organization, and step in to resolve issues—including occasional off‑hours support.
Job Duties
- Maintain an organized, clean work area
- Maintenance of equipment and building
- Train other mechanics in troubleshooting, motor repair and pneumatic troubleshooting
- Assist in keeping CMMS software in order
- Respond to phone calls and troubleshoot during off hours as needed
- Assist in inventory and parts organization
- Familiarity with electrical systems from 12
VDC – 480
VAC - Knowledge of pneumatic and vacuum systems
- Know all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOPs
- Know general company policies and handbook policies
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote proactive maintenance work
- Maintain excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort
- Seek out new ways to improve productivity
- Forklift Certified
- Additional duties may be assigned and/or required
- Ability to perform many common industrial maintenance tasks and help other mechanics learn the same skills
- Maintain productivity with limited supervision
- Make maintenance decisions when other leaders are not present
- Strong electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting and communication skills are required
- Strong electrical meter knowledge including amp clamp, true RMS meter and megger
- Willingness and desire to learn new equipment
- Work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Adhere to scheduled work hours
- Maintain proper hygiene
- Understand and follow verbal and written directions in English
- 1–3 years of experience as a Maintenance Lead or similar role
- Strong electrical meter knowledge, including amp clamp, true RMS meter and megger
- Knowledge and competency of CMMS software
- Competent in CMMS, Excel and Microsoft Word
- PLC programming, Solid Works/AutoCAD training or equivalent experience preferred
- TIG/MIG welding and lathe/mill experience is preferred
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
- Must be able to squat and bend for extended periods of time
- Twisting and reaching are required
- Pushing and pulling heavy loads
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
