Maintenance Technician; 2nd Shift

Hours of Job Full Time - 2nd Shift Hours - 2:30 PM-11:00 PMEvery other weekend and Holiday Rotation Duties and

Key Responsibilities Plans daily shift activities with Facilities Coordinator or designee to discuss work assignments or concerns that relate to departments overall responsibilities.

Performs duties in a safe manner when using power or hand tools and working on or around equipment.

Performs electrical repairs, installations, and inspections.

Performs plumbing tasks.

Assist as needed with interior and exterior remodeling and infrastructure repair work.

Boiler Room duties include boiler conductivity water samples, boiler checks utilizing check list provided.

Performs air handling unit inspections utilizing check list provided.

Assists, as needed, with ground maintenance.

Preventive Maintenance assignments are performed in a timely manner meeting all manufacture recommended requirements and specifications.

Performs security duties to assure the patients, staff, and visitors are safe by performing security rounds.

Works with fellow employees or those of other departments to help meet the responsibilities of the department and the overall mission of GLHS.Assists the Facilities Coordinator or Director of Facilities Services in obtaining information when requested.

Properly document all work performed daily. Files reports as needed or directed.

Works as scheduled and demonstrates scheduling flexibility in helping meet certain emergencies or customer and department needs.

Demonstrates proper and appropriate cost-effective use of department resources, supplies, equipment, and time.

Maintains all aspects of confidentiality for patient related information.

Assists in the conducting and monitoring of Fire Drills and other required drills.

Assists in all Life Safety inspections and repairs.

Requirements Good interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, families, and coworkers.

Requires full range of body motion, manual finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods of time, occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to and excess of 100 pounds.

Education/Certifications High School Diploma is required.

Experience Previous experience performing Facility / Maintenance tasks is preferred.
