Job Summary:
To maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility by performing routine cleaning, waste removal, and floor care tasks in accordance with company standards; to ensure restrooms, break areas, and common spaces are properly cleaned and stocked; to safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies; and to perform all duties in compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations in an efficient and organized manner.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
- Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
- Ability to work effectively in varying temperature conditions, including hot kitchen environments, refrigerated areas, and freezers.
Essential Job Functions:
Performance of the essential functions of this position require the Associate to possess the minimum qualifications listed above. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Clean, wash, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment in accordance with Commissary and QA sanitation standards.
- Maintain proper dishwashing procedures, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and available for kitchen production.
- Remove food waste and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas following company procedures.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, sinks, floors, and workstations to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in dishwashing and kitchen areas to prevent hazards and ensure cleanliness.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment, including racks, carts, and storage areas.
- Monitor and maintain adequate levels of cleaning supplies; communicate needs to management.
- Safely operate dishwashing equipment and cleaning tools; report any malfunctions immediately.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures, including compliance with the Company’s HAZCOM program.
- Support kitchen operations by maintaining a steady flow of clean equipment and assisting team members as needed.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally; stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to Company policies, safety standards, and all Local, State, and Federal regulations.
- Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and reliable attendance.
- Work cooperatively with team members and management, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.
