Part-Time Grounds​/Maintenance Worker - Stone Valley

Position Overview

The Department of Campus Recreation is seeking a Grounds/Maintenance Worker for Stone Valley Recreation Area.

• Provide general grounds keeping and cleaning services
• Mow and trim lawn areas
• Operate trucks, tractors, powered ground equipment, and pneumatic tools
• Remove brush, leaves, grass clippings, paper, and debris from grounds
• Perform minor repairs
• Assist moving furniture, equipment, and materials
• Mop, sweep, and clean floors
• Operate powered janitorial equipment

• MVR check required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation)
• Reliable transportation required
• Seasonal positions, primarily April through October
• Availability for varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Hiring preference for Penn State University Park students; schedules will accommodate class schedules

Employment requires successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies, including motor vehicle records due to vehicle operation.
