POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of resort properties, rental units, common areas, and grounds while performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Technicians may be assigned to Chateau Chamonix, The Ranch, Steamboat Association Management, or Mountain Resorts Core based on operational needs and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of resort buildings, grounds, common areas, and rental units.
- Perform snow and ice removal, basic landscaping, sweeping, and trash removal.
- Clean common areas including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
- Deliver and retrieve guest-requested items as needed.
- Perform minor repairs, including replacing light bulbs, CO monitors, smoke detectors, and batteries.
- Perform basic and advanced maintenance repairs involving electrical, plumbing, audio/visual, pool and spa, painting, and drywall systems.
- Maintain CPO certification and complete required training.
- Safely operate power tools following required training.
- Complete assigned work orders and maintain accurate time and production records.
- Assist other departments with moving furniture, supplies, and equipment.
- Communicate maintenance concerns that may impact guest/owner satisfaction or safety.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions, correspondence, and safety information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, guests, and other employees.
- Ability to use sound judgment and solve routine problems.
- Ability to safely perform basic maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to safely operate power tools after completing required training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPO certification as required.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
- Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Resort hourly pay range: $23.50 - $28.50 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance.
- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
