Job Description

  • Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify students' needs, including academic, social-emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, implementing evidence-based interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and well-being.
  • Respond to and manage crisis situations that may arise within the school environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide programs aimed at promoting student mental health and academic success.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay up-to-date on best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a master's degree in school psychology, though a Specialist-level degree (Ed.S. or SSP) OR PhD or PsyD in clinical, school, or counseling psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Illinois clinical psychologist's license AND/OR Appropriate Illinois State Board of Education License (PEL) with School Psychologist Pre K through Age 21 Endorsement.
