Position:
Special Education Teacher – Learning Behavior Specialist (Co-Taught or Resource Teacher)
Reports To:
Principal and Director of Teaching and Learning QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with:
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS) endorsement
The teacher is responsible for implementing the individual education programs and evaluating student progress for students in special education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES13. Performs other duties as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move from 10 to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
