This is a pivotal leadership role designed to transform our maintenance operations by driving the Ford Maintenance Operating System (MOS) and Lean Maturity in Maintenance to world‑class levels.
  • As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead our maintenance organization and will be the primary architect of maintenance excellence, ensuring our equipment reliability supports the high‑speed demands of our manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Organizational Leadership: Lead and develop a multi‑layered maintenance team, including Senior Production Supervisors and Skilled Trade teams, fostering a culture of technical ownership and continuous improvement.
  • LMM Maturity Drive: Execute the strategy to move the plant toward Level 3 "Cultural" maturity across all LMM criteria:
Operational Excellence, PM/PD Tasks, Loss Mitigation, Proactive Maintenance, and Reliability Leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and Business Control Center (BCC). Ensure 100% accuracy of the asset registry and drive constraint management processes to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Maintenance Strategy: Drive the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance. Achieve a World Class PM/CM ratio (target 6:1) and ensure 100% completion of PMs for constraint assets.
  • Loss Mitigation (MTTR): Implement and sustain BBQ (Back‑up, By‑pass, Quick Recovery) processes. Manage critical spare parts inventory and ensure "single‑path" assets have verified backup strategies.
  • Proactive Maintenance & Tools: Champion the use of predictive tools (Ultrasound, Infrared, Vibration Analysis) and ensure they account for at least 35% of all proactive maintenance performed.
  • FRACAS Management: Lead the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to ensure more than 95% of failed components are processed and analyzed for root cause.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize 4D investigations, DMAIC, and Kaizen to reduce emergency work orders and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Budget & Safety: Manage multi‑million dollar maintenance budgets and drive SQCDMME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Maintenance, Environment) targets.
Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, College Diploma or Trade Certificate in a relevant field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in maintenance leadership within a large‑scale manufacturing environment.
    • Proven experience leading large, unionized skilled trades work forces.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower, and develop multi‑level leadership teams.
    • Expertise in constraint management and bottleneck analysis.

  • Even better, you may have...

    • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
    • Technical / Operational

      Skills:

      • Deep understanding of the MOS Lean Maturity Model (LMM) and a track record of improving maturity levels.
      • Advanced knowledge of FTPM (Ford Total Productive Maintenance) and EJP (Enterprise Job Plans).
      • Experience with Crib Modernization and digital maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo).
