Purpose of Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports all facilities, building repair, and maintenance needs across the state. Supports small scale renovation work and basic commercial experience supporting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or carpentry to ensure efficient and lawful functioning of the school.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact and scheduling via the ticketing system for all regional personnel for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs). Performs QC check with regional staff before closing the ticket.
- Perform simple maintenance and routine repairs on facility equipment which could include minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry/dry wall, heating/venting/air conditioning that does not require an official license (small scale remodeling).
- Maintain the surrounding grounds of the facility which the organization is responsible for to include sprinkler repair, mowing, other lawn maintenance, snow and/or ice removal, and trash removal.
- Construct/disassemble office furniture including desks, chairs, bookcases, shelving, and cubicles as needed. Move and reposition office equipment as needed.
- Install flooring, blinds, paint interior/exterior areas, replace and/or remove equipment that is a safety hazard. Change light bulbs/fixtures.
- Assist with maintaining building security and immediately respond to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
- Follow all safety guidelines and safely use all tools and equipment for an assigned task.
- Report when repairs require a licensed professional and contact local vendors to accomplish repairs. Monitor contractor/outside vendor performance and ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Establish a system and document the details of work performed including purchase requests for vendor contracted repairs and/or maintenance.
- Collaborates & Communicates with Director of Facilities Management and Operations on day-to-day Operational tasks and priorities focus. Ticket Management.
- Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facilities. Maintains the fleet vehicle as per standard fleet of R & M recommendations. Regularly cleans the assigned fleet.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with all members of the school and community.
- Ensure that all operational activities conform to school guidelines.
- Annual Training Initial Certification and Recertification required for Asbestos Operations & Maintenance.
- Annual Maintenance Evaluation required for all sites.

- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must reside in Colorado
- Must Possess a Colorado Driver's License
