Facility Maintenance Repair Technician job at Mac Lean-Fogg. Sterling, IL.

Job Details
  • Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)
  • Pay Range: $17.63–$18.25 per hour (based on skills and experience)
  • Work Location: Onsite – Sterling, IL 61081
  • Shift: 4:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Travel: 5%
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and respond promptly to maintenance-related incidents.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting.
  • Properly dispose of waste and scrap materials following safety and environmental regulations.
  • Order required parts, tools, and supplies to support facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Accurately document maintenance and repair activities, including time and material costs.
  • Support the maintenance team with daily tasks and facility improvement projects.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Assist with facility upgrades such as painting, drywall, fixture installation, and light carpentry.
  • Move materials, equipment, or furniture throughout the facility as needed.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Required)
  • 0–2 years of experience in facility, equipment, or building maintenance
  • General knowledge of basic maintenance disciplines (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent bending and stooping
  • Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools
  • Ability to work in noisy environments
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
