Used Car Technician

BMW of Sterling

Now Hiring Experienced Used Car Technicians.

Pay: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on a flat-rate compensation structure.

This position is a full-time role; candidates must have open availability to work on Saturdays.

Reports to Shop Foreman / Production Manager and Fixed Ops Manager

What You'll Do

• Perform repairs on both domestic and import vehicles.
• Diagnose vehicle issues and complete repairs safely.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure quality repairs.
• Track time and document all work performed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and return vehicles clean.
• Complete required training and maintain certifications.
• Stay current on technical updates and manufacturer information.
• Communicate effectively to support customer satisfaction.
• Report any safety, ethical, or operational concerns to management.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician (domestic or import preferred).
• Proficient technical skills in steering, suspension, brakes, and engine diagnostics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• ASE certifications are a strong plus.
