As a Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist, you will partner closely with the internal team and sales to ensure customers receive exceptional service and timely fulfillment. Each day, you will be on the road, serving as the face of Transmotion while visiting customer sites to monitor inventory levels and maintain accuracy within customer systems. You will proactively generate replenishment orders, analyze sales data, and ensure products are delivered on time and in the right quantities.
Building strong relationships with customer contacts will be a key part of your day, providing on‑site support and reviewing Vendor Managed Inventory reports to guarantee satisfaction. You will coordinate with the Branch Manager to resolve any supply chain or inventory challenges, support warehouse operations, and participate in regular training to stay sharp and cross‑trained in multiple company functions. Your day will be busy, hands‑on, and rewarding as you help customers achieve their daily goals and keep operations running smoothly.
SCHEDULE AS A VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY SPECIALIST
You’ll enjoy a steady and predictable schedule, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (day shift), with overtime as needed. Expect daily travel (up to 1.25 hours one way) to customer locations throughout the area.
VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- At least 21 years old
- 2+ years of driving experience in all weather conditions
- Analytical skills to identify trends and forecast inventory needs accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Willingness and ability to drive in all types of weather
- Physical ability to safely lift 50 pounds using proper techniques
- Data entry skills using ERP software and ability to type at least 25 words per minute
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card and a Class C Non‑CDL driver’s license (Van and Box Truck)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi‑task and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
Previous supply chain or logistics experience is ideal.
