Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Overview

Zoetis is the world’s largest manufacturer and supplier of animal pharmaceuticals. We are looking for a maintenance technician who will be trained in and perform maintenance tasks in a safe, fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role includes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, ordering parts, and repairs under supervision.

• Take individual responsibility for the equipment in your area and grow into an expert.
• Perform assigned work, which may include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utilities, and metal fabrication.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to keep equipment operating efficiently; use data to drive decisions.
• Work cross‑functionally to diagnose and correct issues as they arise.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical aptitude.
• Associate degree in a technical field such as electro‑mechanical is preferred.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing is preferred.

Mechanical equipment repair experience is desirable. Experience or training in electrical or mechanical trades is highly valued. We will provide training for candidates who are eager to learn.

• Work safely in an industrial environment using approved procedures (lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.).
• Use hand and power tools.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, never more.
• Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra‑clean, or require additional PPE; possible exposure to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Full time, regular position. 1st shift, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (typical). Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
